Who we work with
Six criteria. All required. No exceptions.
We don't place candidates on résumés alone.
3–10 years of directly relevant experience or transferable skills
No entry-level candidates. Experience must match the placed role.
Professional English fluency
Written and spoken. All client communication is in English.

Fluency is assessed live during screening, not taken from a checkbox. Every placed EA runs client inboxes, vendor communication, and calendar ops entirely in English. Candidates who don't meet that bar don't advance.
Full-time EST/CST/MST/PST availability, 40 hrs/week
This must be your primary commitment. Not a side role.
Seeking long-term, full-time direct employment
Not freelance. Not project-based. Not part-time.
Proactive, problem-solving, productive: the 3XP Standard
Higher Options' proprietary vetting framework. All three traits required.

You must demonstrate three behavioral traits: proactive (you act before being asked), problem-solving (you resolve without escalating), and productive (you deliver without being managed). All three are assessed during screening, not self-reported. Miss one and you're not advanced.
Aptive Index: required for all candidates
Behavioral intelligence assessment. Not a skills test. ~10 minutes. Used for matching.

The Aptive Index combines psychometrics and AI coaching to measure how you're naturally wired: how you think, prioritize, and operate under pressure. It's not a skills test. It takes ~10 minutes. Results are used only for matching, to place you in a role you'll thrive in.
Not the right fit if: You're looking for freelance, part-time, project-based work, or multiple concurrent clients. This is a full-time direct-hire process, the only model Higher Options places.
Compensation & stability
You're hired by the company. Paid by the company. We step back.
HO vs. freelance platform
- One employer, a U.S. founder-led company, not browsed by multiple clients
- Full-time, not project-based
- No ongoing fee taken from your salary
HO vs. staffing agency
- You're not "leased," you're directly employed
- The company pays you, not us
- You own the role. Higher Options steps back at placement.
- No office commute

Growth & support
Three things included after placement.
The Higher Options Mastermind
A peer community for LATAM professionals placed in full-time U.S. remote roles. Included post-placement at no cost for 60 days; after that, the company enrolls to continue your access.
AI Productivity Training
Ongoing access to AI tool training: inbox management, calendar ops, CRM, project coordination.
60-Day Performance Support
We stay in contact during the first 60 days. Alignment issues get addressed before they become problems.

Application process
Application process: six steps
Apply
Background, role preference, English level, timezone availability. Incomplete applications aren't reviewed.
3XP screening
We review against the 3XP Standard.
Aptive Index, behavioral assessment, not a skills test
~10 minutes. Evaluates how you think and operate under pressure.
Clarification questions
A quick questionnaire with specific questions about your target role.
Interview in English with the Higher Options team
Communication quality and role fit. Not a general skills interview.
Client introduction, you're hired directly
You meet the matched U.S. company. They hire you directly. They pay you directly. Higher Options charges you nothing.
A door opening

Apply to join the Higher Options network. Every application gets a direct response.
Apply NowQuestions from LATAM professionals before they apply.
Does Higher Options charge me a fee to apply or get placed?
No. We charge the U.S. company, not you. You pay nothing to apply, nothing at placement, nothing ever.
Will I be working for Higher Options or for the U.S. company?
The U.S. company. We place you and step back. You're hired directly and paid directly. Higher Options has no ongoing role in your employment.
Am I an employee or a contractor?
An international contractor. You're hired directly by the U.S. company as a full-time independent contractor. Standard documentation applies (e.g., W-8BEN where relevant).
What does the Aptive Index involve and how long does it take?
A behavioral intelligence assessment, not a skills test. ~10 minutes. Results are confidential and used only for matching.
What happens if the placement doesn't work out within 60 days?
We stay in contact during the first 60 days. If alignment breaks down, we address it early. If the placement ends, we work to rematch you.
What payment methods are used to pay LATAM contractors?
Methods vary by client and are agreed directly with you. Higher Options does not handle or process payments between clients and candidates.
If I accepted a salary range during the process, can I renegotiate after?
No. The salary range you accept is final. Attempting to renegotiate after acceptance is an immediate disqualifier, no exceptions.
Do I receive work equipment after placement?
No. Higher Options does not provide equipment. After hiring, some clients may choose to provide tools or subscriptions directly, but this is entirely at their discretion.
Is it mandatory to submit my video using Loom?
Yes. Loom is the only accepted platform. Submissions through any other platform (Google Drive, YouTube, Dropbox, etc.) are disqualified without review.
